πΊπΈ A Chill & Last-Minute Salt Lake City Day Trip πβ¨
So this silly travel blogger (me π ) booked the wrong flight and ended up with an extra day in Salt Lake City. Why not make the most of it? Dropped my luggage at the Marriott β itβs free if youβre staying the night β and set off to explore! 1οΈβ£ Utah State Capitol π 350 State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84114 Looks like the U.S. Capitol but filled with murals and sculptures related to Mormon history β like a mini museum! Only side doors are open for entry, but the front is perfect for photos πΈ. 2οΈβ£ Temple Square π 50 North Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84150 Literally around the corner from the Capitol πΆβοΈβ The temple is under renovation, but the dome assembly hall is open. Loved the yellow lilies in the garden πΌ and the golden angel statue shining above. 3οΈβ£ Cathedral of the Madeleine π 331 E S Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 A short walk away β so quiet and peaceful. Sat inside for a while reflecting onβ¦ why I can be such a goof π and then gently forgave myself. 3οΈβ£.5οΈβ£ TENET Coffee Got hungry, found this 4.9-rated cafe on Google Maps βοΈ Ordered a Call Me Maple β delicious! Spot it by the rainbow flag π³οΈβπ out front! 4οΈβ£ Salt Lake City Public Library π 210 E 400 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 Huge, bright, with massive windows and mountain views β°οΈ (sadly no snow in summer). You can even use their computers β just ask for an adult guest pass for 120 minutes of free use. Wrote this post from the library β no idea where Iβm headed next, but hope this helps someone else enjoy a relaxed day in SLC π #SaltLakeCity #Solotrip #TravelBlunderTurnedFun #SLCGuide #UtahAdventures
