🇺🇸 A Day Trip to Ogunquit, Maine | New England’s Coastal Gem 🌊📸

Nestled in southern Maine, Ogunquit is a beautiful and traditional New England coastal town, largely populated by white residents and known for its serene, picturesque vibes. Just over an hour’s drive from Boston, it’s the perfect escape for a relaxing day trip — whether you’re looking to unwind, take a spontaneous ride, or simply soak in some seaside charm. Though parking can be a bit pricey, the experience is absolutely worth it! Two of the most iconic spots you can’t miss: 📍 Nubble Lighthouse – One of the most photographed lighthouses in America. Perched dramatically on a small rocky island, it offers breathtaking views any time of year. 📍 Perkins Cove – A quaint, pedestrian-only harbor area filled with artisan shops, seafood shacks, and gorgeous views of fishing boats and the Atlantic. I visited on a day that started sunny but turned into a downpour 🌧️… but even in the rain, this town was photogenic! I still managed to take some moody, atmospheric shots — sometimes the imperfect weather makes for the most memorable photos. 📸 Gear I used: Camera: Pentax 67ii Lens: SMC 105mm f/2.4 Film: Kodak Gold 200 🎞️✨ There’s something truly magical about shooting film in a place that feels frozen in time. The colors rendered by Kodak Gold — especially the warm tones and subtle grain — paired perfectly with Ogunquit’s classic New England aesthetic. Even though I got soaked, wandering around with my camera felt peaceful and almost meditative. The sound of the rain mixing with ocean waves, the smell of salt in the air, and the nostalgic look of the lighthouse through the mist… it was a vibe 🧡☔️ If you’re into photography, love lighthouses, fresh lobster rolls, or just being near the ocean — Ogunquit should be on your list. Don’t let a little rain stop you. Some of the best adventures are unplanned 💫 #BostonLife #MaineCoast #FilmPhotography #Pentax67ii #KodakGold200 #TravelWithCamera #OgunquitMaine #NewEnglandVibes #LightHouseLovers
