I remember my first attempt to visit with my son years ago: "Aaargh! We're stuck in traffic!" "Wot! No parking 🅿️ available?!" "More traffic?!" ""Don't get mad in front of your son!" Then! I discovered Marginal Way Trail! Hallelujah! In early May, most of the buisnesses were open and I enjoyed the views. Very quaint! It was quiet, though how long it lasts, I dunno? Ocean 🌊 tours available. I liked the bridge and the fact you can walk longer. Limited parking 🅿️ available. Pay meter accepts credit/debit cards. Restaurants, coffee ☕ and 🍦 ice-cream available. Public restrooms as well. It will take minutes to walk around Perkins Cove unless you explore the stores. Great views of the ocean 🌊. My friend, she liked it so much she said "If I was stuck here during Covid, I would be content." My kids were "Can we go now?" No pizza available. I recommend a visit for people who want a quiet place to visit, though be aware, it gets busy in the summer.

Perkins Cove in Ogunquit is a perfect example of a Maine shore community. It’s picture perfect. It has everything from lobster boats, rocky coastline and a drawbridge. Perkins is touristy with many shops and places to eat. No visit here would be complete without walking Marginal Way which begins or ends at Perkins Cove. The walk travels along the rocky coast with excellent ocean views. The only drawback visiting Perkins Cove is in season it is very crowded and parking is hard to find.

Truly a lovely place to visit. Not much parking so it's better to get there by foot. Wonderful shops, restaurants and sea views. We were there the first week of November 2022. It was unusually warm weather and most places were empty of tourists so there was ample space to park or walk around. Although many establishments are closed for the season it is still well worth it to visit. Don't miss it!
