πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ American Wanderlust Diary 26.2 – Boone Hall, Charleston

Next stop: Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens πŸ›οΈπŸŒ³ I was curious to compare it to the plantations I’d seen earlier in New Orleans. While similar, this one felt grander in scale. The entrance alone welcomes you with that breathtaking Avenue of Oaks β€” a loooong tunnel of ancient trees πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ. There’s also a sweet little greenhouse garden πŸͺ΄ and an actual equestrian center 🐎. Fun fact I learned on the tour: Their horses have actually won several championships β€” including the Triple Crown πŸ†! Most of these historic plantations (like nearby Magnolia with its famous white bridge 🌁) are often used as wedding venues β€” dreamy but kinda similar. Unless you’re a super fan, you probably don’t need to visit every single one. Oh, and side note β€” not sure if drones are allowed here πŸšπŸ€” (might be worth checking ahead if you’re planning aerial shots!). #RoadTrip #Charleston #Plantations #OakAlley #HorseRiding #SouthernCharm #TravelUSA #HistoricSites
