🇺🇸 Around Austin|This Crystal Cave in Texas is Seriously Cool!
Name: Longhorn Cavern State Park Address: 6211 Park Road 4 S, Burnet, TX 78611 We were camping in Burnet and after hanging out with little animals in the morning 🐿️, we wanted to explore a park in the afternoon. This cave looked fun, so we grabbed a pass! 🌟 The tour took about 1.5 hours. No places to sit inside – you’ll be walking or standing while the guide shares fun facts. Flash photography and touching the rocks aren’t allowed (it stops their growth!). The path is pretty easy, though you’ll need to duck in a few spots. 🌟 The formations inside are super unique – some areas have huge natural crystals! 💎 I love collecting crystals, so this was extra special for me. There’s even a section that looks like the surface of the moon! 🌙 🌟 We also spotted tiny bats 🦇 – the guide called them “chicken nugget bats” 😂 We were lucky to see two snuggled up close (they usually prefer space!). It was my first time seeing bats this close – they’re only about the size of a thumb! 🌟 Tips: Some people tipped the guide, some didn’t. Bring cash just in case you’d like to show appreciation! 💵 ⚠️ Note: Bats are sensitive to noise – please keep quiet inside. They can sense when visitors enter! 🤫 🎫 Tickets can be booked online. The basic tour is around $26 per person. 🌟 Really fun experience, and the walk wasn’t too long or tiring. The temperature inside is cooler than outside – perfect if you want to escape the Texas heat! 😎 #AroundAustin #TexasDayTrip #Austin
