๐บ๐ธ Austin Food Diary | What I Ate in a Week (Part 2)
Couldnโt fit everything in the last post โ hereโs the rest! ๐ฝ๏ธ ๐น Tiki Tatsu-ya ๐๐ A TikTok-famous spot, but maybe they changed their menu? No foie gras sushi roll โ only Spam Musubi (which was decent). Other snacks we tried: Taro Tots, Crab Lagoon, Tempura โ just okay. Mochiko Wings (highly recommended by many) โ sadly, overly salty and not tasty. We each ordered a signature cocktail โ sweet fruity tiki drinks ๐. Maybe we needed a bigger group to try their extravagant shared drinks? Hard to recommend. ๐ฅ Caroline ๐๐๐๐ A brunch spot with 10k+ Google reviews! Spanish & Feta Egg White Omelette: Classic and satisfying. Green Chili & Chicken Enchiladas: Huge portion with authentic Mexican flavors. ๐ท Acre 41 ๐๐๐๐๐ Upscale dining perfect for dates or small gatherings! Roasted Bone Marrow: Great with tomato jam and bread โ too oily alone. Diver Scallop: Seasoning had a weird fishy note ๐. Belly-On Porkchop: Delicious! Loved the sweet & sour sauce. Key Lime Pie: Crust was slightly sweet, but this lemon-lover still enjoyed it! ๐ ๐ Stiles Switch BBQ ๐๐๐ You canโt visit Texas without trying BBQ! We originally ordered a 2-meat plate to share, but the cashier insisted it wouldnโt be enough ๐ So we upgraded to 3 meats โ and couldnโt finish it (typical American portions!). We chose: Pork Ribs, Prime Brisket, Original Sausage The brisket was our favorite โ the others were too salty. Sides: corn and potato salad were solid! (Chicha San Chen) ๐๐๐๐ My favorite bubble tea shop! So happy theyโre in Austin ๐ฅณ Their signature drinks are reliable โ I usually get 30% sugar since I prefer less sweetness. Avoid the fixed-sugar options if youโre sensitive to sugar! #Austin #FoodReview #GlobalFoodie ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ
