🇺🇸 Austin Foodie | Texas BBQ | Salt Lick BBQ ✨
Though I haven’t tried Franklin BBQ yet, my Austin colleagues swear this is the best Texas BBQ in their hearts! ❤️ We visited the Driftwood location (about 30-40 mins from the Domain). There are two others – one in Round Rock and one at the airport – but colleagues say Driftwood is the tastiest! 🏆 (The airport spot serves the same meat shipped from here.) 🔸 Atmosphere Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! 🪑🌳 ⚠️ Driftwood is CASH ONLY (airport takes cards). 🔹 Taste: 5.0/5.0 🤩 My colleagues bring all their visitors here – yes, it’s a drive, but totally worth it! Every meat was incredible: Brisket 🥩 Not salty or greasy at all! Perfect with their homemade sauce. Pork Ribs 🐖 Less sweet than Terry Black’s, with chewier cartilage – but super juicy! Bison Ribs 🦬 A first for me! Leaner than beef ribs with a smoky charcoal aroma. 5-star must-try! Sausage 🌭 Not overly salty like many other BBQ spots. Texas Toast 🍞 Surprisingly delicious! Don’t skip it. Peach Cobbler 🍑🍮 Sweet but not overwhelming – the peach jam and ice cream combo is perfection! This place was a wonderful surprise! I’d definitely return on my next Austin trip. They even offer All-You-Can-Eat (excluding beef/bison ribs) – a dream for meat lovers! 🎉🍖 #TexasBBQ #Austin #BBQLovers #FoodReview #SaltLickBBQ 🔥
