๐บ๐ธ Day Trip from Chicago to Milwaukee
Just a 1.5-hour drive from Chicago ๐๐จ โ perfect for a weekend getaway! No car? No problem! You can also take a train from Chicagoโs Union Station โ same travel time ๐. โจ Milwaukee Public Market Our first stop was St. Paul Fish Company for their famous lobster roll ๐ฆ. Compared to Seattleโs prices, this is a steal! ๐ฆ Lobster Roll + Fries + Coleslaw = only $22.95 ๐๐ป We also tried the Shrimp Poโ Boy, but it was a bit too salty โ stick with the lobster roll! The market is cozy with lots of little shops. St. Paul has indoor seating, but itโs often crowded. We took our food upstairs to the mezzanine โ quieter and more space ๐ฝ๏ธ. ๐ป Lakefront Brewery After lunch, we joined the brewery tour โ highly recommend! ๐ซ $16 per person (weekend price) for a 50-minute tour โ Includes 4 beer samples (8 oz each) ๐บ โ Free souvenir pint glass ๐ฅ We enjoyed a soft pretzel ๐ฅจ with our beers while overlooking the river โ super chill vibe! ๐ณ Veterans Park After the tour, we strolled through Lake Park and Veterans Park. Beautiful views, lots of people walking and relaxing โ a perfect way to digest ๐. ๐ฆ Purple Door Ice Cream Before heading back to Chicago, we stopped at this local gem. The line was long but moved fast โ only waited about 10 minutes โณ. Note: Some flavors listed online werenโt available ๐ฅบ, but we loved Sweet Corn and Honey Vanilla! We were too full from the brewery for dinner ๐ , and didnโt get to see everything โ next time! Hereโs our wishlist for future visits: Cafรฉ Benelux for brunch ๐ฅ Onesto Italian Restaurant near the market ๐ Try a Milwaukee-style Bloody Mary ๐ Glorioso's Italian Market ๐ง #ChicagoDayTrip #Milwaukee #FoodRecommendations #StudyInUSA #FoodieAdventure
