Who would've thought โ€” during my two weeks in California, my Chengdu tastebuds were repeatedly blown away by "white people food" ๐Ÿ˜‚! Taste is subjective, but hereโ€™s my take for reference ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Las Vegas โ€” BACCHANAL BUFFET Canโ€™t visit Vegas without hitting a buffet! This one has the widest variety โ€” snow crab legs are fresh and unlimited ๐Ÿฆ€. Tried so many little dishes Iโ€™d never seen before โ€” went all out! ๐Ÿฅณ ๐Ÿด Los Angeles โ€” Great White Very standard but tasty "pretty white people food" โ€” nothing disappoints here! โœจ ๐Ÿฅ˜ LA โ€” Sun Nong Dan A must-try Korean spot in LA! The beef bone soup totally amazed me โ€” so tender! ๐Ÿฎโค๏ธ How come Korean food in Chengdu isnโ€™t this good?! ๐Ÿœ Roadside Luosifen with LA locals A stall run by Guangxi locals somewhere in the LA Chinese district โ€” forgot the exact address but it was legit! ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท LV โ€” French restaurant in Paris Hotel Nice ambiance, forgot most dishes except the baguette with escargot โ€” delicious! ๐Ÿฅ–๐ŸŒ ๐Ÿ” Shake Shack Picked one randomly on the drive from LV to SD. Iโ€™m not even a burger person, but it was so fragrant and juicy โ€” totally different from burgers back in China! ๐Ÿคค ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น San Diego โ€” Little Italy Mercato A lively market with all kinds of stalls! Got the famous lobster roll (amazing!) ๐Ÿฆž and fresh sea urchin (my first time โ€” fresh but a bit fishy for me ๐Ÿ ). Also tried avocado toast from a nearby stall and a popular coconut drink ๐Ÿฅฅ โ€” not bad! ๐ŸŒฎ Taco El โš ๏ธ THE STAR! These Mexican tacos made me and my bestie almost faint from how good they were!! Made fresh by Mexicans right in front of you. We ate here two days in a row โ€” beef tongue, tripe, spicy pork are all must-orders ๐ŸŒฎ๐Ÿ”ฅ. ๐ŸŒŠ SD โ€” Carolineโ€™s Seaside Cafe A brunch spot by the sea โ€” food was good, but the view was the highlight! ๐ŸŒ… Recommend going early to avoid lines. ๐Ÿ SD โ€” Cesarina Went whale watching in the morning and found this Italian spot nearby. Pasta was so comforting ๐Ÿ, meant to order grilled octopus but got chicken instead โ€” still juicy though! But the real standout was the freshly made tiramisu โ€” OMG, one bite and I realized all the tiramisu Iโ€™d had back home was trash ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿฐ. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ West Coast food โ€” SO GOOD!
