πΊπΈ Hotel Review | Renaissance Austin
π Stayed at the Downright Austin, A Renaissance Hotel during a motorcycle race weekend in Austin, Texas. Chose it for its reasonable price and new renovations β the hotel just reopened in 2024! π Paid around $250/night, which was a great deal for a peak weekend. π³ Membership: Marriott Gold (matched via United Airlines) πΊοΈ Location: On the edge of downtown Austin. Since downtown isnβt huge, itβs still convenient. Not many food options nearby though. No Panda Express delivery in Austin yet π’ β had to use Uber Eats for decent Chinese food, but still left me craving more. ποΈ Public Areas: Instagram-worthy retro vibe with a pink-and-green color scheme π¨ β personally loved the design! ποΈ Room Features: Same stylish pink-greenβ looks cool from afar! But details felt rushed β rough finishes reveal the older building underneath. The bedding was a highlight π: one of the coziest, softest hotel duvets Iβve experienced lately! Bathroom had a separate sink, but the shower space was tight with a tub + curtain setup π β not my favorite. Basic toiletries (as expected in the US β no big surprise here). π© Service: Staff were super friendly π. When I checked out a night early (booked an extra night for a friend who couldnβt make it), the front desk lady was empathetic and kind β great emotional support! However, service was slow β waited nearly 30 minutes for cutlery π΄... not ideal. π· Amenities: The(viral-worthy pool) and bar are visually stunning! ππ Perfect for the young and trendy crowd β pink pool = major vibe! The bar serves delicious drinks β tried a mocktail πΉ and it was awesome. The lobby cafΓ© serves breakfast, but itβs overpriced with average taste. Long lines every morning β better to eat out! β¨ Final Thoughts: Overall, a very pleasant stay with exceptionally comfortable bedding β sleep quality was top-notch! π€ With some improvements in hardware details and service efficiency, this hotel could truly stand out β attracting both young travelers and traditional guests. #Austin #DesignHotel #GenZTravel #Texas
