πΊπΈ Lancaster | Yipin Hong Szechuan Restaurant
This Sichuan spot in Lancaster comes highly recommended β I give it two thumbs (and feet!) up! π Google rating: 4.5 β π 1930 Columbia Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 The location is a bit out of the way β but then again, all of Lancaster feels pretty rural ππΎ. When I first arrived, I thought it looked like some simple countryside eatery β nothing fancy. But my kids were craving Chinese food, so we gave it a shot. The restaurant is small, but it was pretty busy π¨π©π§π¦. Service isnβt super fast, and the dishes arenβt overly garnished β but donβt let that fool you! Compared to the Chinese restaurants in the Philly suburbs, the value here is unbeatable!! π° And most importantly β the flavor. Honestly, itβs some of the most authentic, home-style Sichuan food Iβve had in over a decade living in the US. πΊπΈπ² As my followers know, I always post straight-from-the-phone pics β no filters π±β¨ Just look at the photos! The portions are way bigger than what you get at Philly suburban spots. My family of four was shocked when the food came out β one dish here is easily twice the size of a portion from Bamboo House in the suburbs. We only spent $68 for four people, and still had two big boxes of leftovers β enough for another meal! π±π We ordered: Suan Cai Yu (Pickled Mustard Fish) π Jiaoyan Yupian (Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet) πΆοΈ Meicai Kourou (Steamed Pork with Preserved Mustard Greens) π Niurou Mian (Beef Noodle Soup) π Everything was delicious! In a nutshell: I never understood why Lancaster was voted one of the best places to live in PAβ¦ But Yipin Hong made me feel like people living around here are pretty lucky πβ€οΈ #PhillySuburbs #LancasterPA #Hershey #AroundPA #SichuanFood #PhillyFoodFinds #PhillyEats
