🇺🇸 Las Vegas | Bardot's Signature Wellington Isn't as Good as Paul's

Think I'm just using a clickbait title? Honestly, I really didn’t think it was better than what Paul can make! 👨🍳 Last week, Paul and I attended CES—walking over 15,000 steps every day! 🚶♀️💦 Our feet were killing us, so of course, we had to treat ourselves to a nice dinner each night. Our first stop was Bardot Brasserie, a French-style bistro located inside Aria. A friend helped us make the reservation. 🥂 🦐 Seafood Platter The seafood was super fresh! The oysters 🦪 were sweet and crisp, and the shrimp and lobster were firm and bouncy. The crab meat salad 🥗 had a lovely natural sweetness. 🥰 🪿 Foie Gras Mousse The mousse was incredibly smooth—it melted in your mouth the moment you tasted it! Chilled and not greasy at all. On top was a layer of savory broth jelly that dissolved instantly. There were also some crispy, caramelized bits for texture. The soft bread it came with was okay, but I would’ve preferred a baguette or something toasted for more crunch! 🥖 🐮 Beef Tartare A huge portion! But there was a bit too much pickles for my taste—it overpowered the beef. The baguette served with it was perfect for dipping into the foie gras mousse though! 👍 🐂 Wellington Beef This is their signature dish! Gotta admit, the puff pastry was excellent (professional approval here! 👩🍳). I just wish the outer layer had been baked a bit crispier. The filet inside was cooked to a perfect medium-rare—tender and pink. But for some reason, the steak wasn’t as juicy as expected, and the mushroom duxelles lacked depth. 🫤 🍟 Truffle Fries Solid truffle fries—tasty, but nothing extraordinary. 🍫 Chocolate Napoleon As a puff pastry enthusiast, I have to applaud the layers—flaky, buttery, and not too sweet!
