🇺🇸 Milwaukee’s Cozy French Café – A Sweet Hidden Gem! 🥐🍮

Today I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite French spots in Milwaukee: Le Rêve Pâtisserie & Café 📍 7610 Harwood Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautiful display case filled with colorful macarons, delicate cakes, and buttery croissants 🥐✨. All pastries are made in-house — and they even offer baking classes! The décor is simple yet elegant: wooden furniture, soft lighting, and French posters create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Just a heads-up — it’s a bit cozy inside, so tables are close together. 🍽 What We Ordered: 🦪 Moules-frites (Creamy mussels with fries) A classic Belgian dish! The white wine and cream broth was rich and delicious 🥖👌 (perfect for dipping bread). The mussels weren’t at their meatiest seasonally, but still tasty. 🍔 Burger with Arugula Juicy beef patty topped with fresh arugula — fries were crispy and well-seasoned! 🐟 Salmon Burger My friend loved it — flaky, flavorful, and well-balanced. 🍰 Paris-Brest A hazelnut cream puff with candied oranges and almonds — layers of texture and flavor. Lucky me — I got the last one! 😋 🧀 Basque Cheesecake Not overly sweet like typical American versions — perfectly rich and smooth. 💵 Price: Around $30+ per person (starter + main + dessert) — great value! They also serve classic French mains — not fine dining like Lake Park Bistro, but solid and authentic. ⏰ Hours: Closed Sundays & Tuesdays 🅿️ Parking: Free street parking (hard to find) — better to park a bit farther and walk. Avoid the Qdoba lot — they watch closely! 👀 #Foodie #Milwaukee #MilwaukeeEats #FrenchCafe #PastryLover #WisconsinFood #SweetTooth
