🇺🇸 Milwaukee | First Day of Daylight Saving Time

Milwaukee is one of the most unique and fascinating cities I’ve visited in the U.S. 🏙️✨ The downtown area is unusually clean (almost un-American!), and the slow-paced lifestyle completely shattered my stereotypes. Though we only explored a small part of the city, it left us craving more—three days weren’t enough! Here are my random Google Maps finds: 🏛️ Villa Terrace Decorative Art Museum I’d call this the perfect Italian-Wisconsin embassy garden! 🏰🌿 The Renaissance-style architecture faces Lake Michigan, and the garden features a beautiful life-size chess set. My boyfriend and I spent two hours playing a game—a warm, lazy afternoon we’ll never forget. The public area is small (much of the lakeside is private), but it’s serene and perfect. The mansion’s decorative arts and antiques are also worth seeing. Only downside: early spring left many trees bare. Summer greenery must be stunning! 🎨 Milwaukee Art Museum I adore modern art! 🖼️ The museum is huge (not as big as Chicago’s Art Institute, but still exhausting to explore). The contemporary section was the highlight—full of mind-bending creativity. The high school collaboration exhibit was impressively talented—those kids are going places! 🏨 Saint Kate Arts Hotel (Not an ad!) A micro-gallery + bar + boutique hotel 🎨🍸🛏️. Our room had a gorgeous floor lamp, ukulele, free sketchbooks, and a fancy mirror light. So much more soul than generic Hilton/Marriott chains! Plus, it’s in the heart of downtown. We caught a perfect sunset from the rooftop 😭☀️. ☕ Coffee Culture Mind-blowing! Discourse Cafe near the hotel serves hand-crafted signature lattes. I went twice daily and tried two drinks each time—too many tempting options! Recommended: Channel Orange, Parisian, and Lana Del Fog. 🍻 Missed the Breweries We skipped them due to a packed schedule… but that just gives us a reason to return! I want to go back 10,000 times!!! ❤️ #Travel #HiddenGems #Milwaukee #USATravel #ExploreMore #ArtLovers #CoffeeCulture
