🇺🇸 NYC Bar Hopping Map|12 Bars in the City (Featuring Yogurt Sake!)

Originally thought I’d save up my bar visits since moving to NYC, but before I knew it, I’d already tried a dozen spots! Just a heads-up: cocktail preferences are super personal. I tend to go for boozy, well-balanced drinks with a bright finish or tangy kick — less into overly sweet stuff. Here’s the rundown: 1️⃣ Shinji’s – Cozy, great snacks. Started with a gin fizz special, only to realize it was the famous yogurt sake cocktail I’d seen all over socials! 🍶 Also tried penicillin, old fashioned, and daiquiri — all solid. Bartenders are friendly and proud of their huge Japanese whiskey collection (though I prefer bolder pours). 2️⃣ Undercote – Speakeasy under a Michelin-starred Korean BBQ. Drinks were okay, but the BBQ pork from upstairs was fantastic. 3️⃣ La Compagnie Wine Bar (Flatiron) – Lovely wine bar vibes. Next door is their sister spot, Experimental Cocktail Club — dim, lively, and cool (thanks, Shinji’s crew, for the tip!). 4️⃣ Barbam – Pretty speakeasy below a K-town BBQ joint. Cocktails leaned sweet and girly, but the fried chicken tasted like tangy-sweet Chinese guobaorou — surprisingly delicious. 5️⃣ Martiny’s – Walked in with friends, later learned it’s a ranked spot. Nothing blew my mind, but it was fun tasting new R&D cocktails with the bartenders after hours. 6️⃣ Little Ned – Inside the Ned NoMad hotel. Classic, old-school vibe. Twists on classics are executed well — the pickle martini was a highlight (and I don’t even like pickles or martinis usually!). 7️⃣ Sip & Guzzle – Already a staple. Consistently creative, balanced, and delicious cocktails — no misses yet. Snacks are great, and I’ve been lucky with no waits. 8️⃣ Overstory – Stunning high-rise views. Cocktails are decent, not spectacular — but worth it for the skyline and date-night atmosphere. 9️⃣ Katana Kitten – Loud, kitschy, and disappointing drinks. Not sure how it made the lists. 🔟 Blacktail – Sadly closed now, but it had a refined vibe. Their melon cocktail was surprisingly good. Already plotting the next round of sips! 🥂 #NYCBars #BarHopping #CocktailCulture #NYCNightlife #SpeakeasyNYC #NYCDrinks #DrinkDiary #NYCSpots #SakeCocktail #YogurtSake #NYCExplorer #CheersNYC #SipAndSavor
