🇺🇸 NYU Student’s 2-Day Trip to Philly｜Day 1 City Walk

As a human GPS who just explored Philly, here’s Day 1—perfect for those who love intense sightseeing + honest reviews 👀💨 NYU and int'l students, this one’s for you! 🚌 Bus: Peter Pan Bus Line (NYC → Philly, 10:00 AM - 12:20 PM) 🏨 Hotel: Club Quarters Hotel Rittenhouse Square Clean ✅ great location ✅ 10-min walk to City Hall ✅ surrounded by restaurants & CVS. Recommend! After check-in, first stop— 🍔 Reading Terminal Market A 132-year-old historic market 🏛️🍴 Tried Uncle Gus’ Steaks cheesesteak—tasty but SUPER salty 😅🧂 Suggest sharing with a friend + lots of ice-cold Coke! 🏛️ Philadelphia City Hall Baroque architecture 📸✨ The William Penn statue once made this the tallest building in Philly. You need reservations to go inside—I just admired the dome from outside 😌 💔 Love Park The famous “LOVE” sculpture is… surprisingly tiny 😂 Best to angle your shot upward and avoid the crowd. Honestly, sitting by the fountain was more relaxing 💨🌿 ⛪ The Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul Stepped inside and—WOW—the 1864 Gothic dome is breathtaking! This is PA’s largest Catholic church. Pope Francis held mass here back in 2015. 🧠 Mütter Museum $15 student ticket 🎟️ Came mainly for Einstein’s brain slices… but ended up seeing diseased organs, skeletons, and preserved fetuses 😵‍💫 Tactically noped out after 20 minutes ⚰️ Not for the faint-hearted. Gift shop sells brain-in-a-jar necklaces… helluva souvenir 💀👌 🎓 University of Pennsylvania Franklin’s statue swarmed with grad photos 🎓 As a 2 Broke Girls fan, I geeked out at Wharton and Walnut Street! 🥺 Also visited Lin Huiyin’s former home (now a cool used bookstore: House of Our Own Books). Sadly the archaeology museum was closed (Monday 😭) — saving it for next time! 💡 Day 1 Wrap-up: Philly’s attractions are pretty walkable. This route is great for history + quirky museum lovers.
