Enjoying Coffee, Cheese, and Gelato at an Italian Restaurant

🏠 Gran Caffe L'Aquila ⭐️ 3.5/5 **Summary**: This place has a very vintage tavern vibe, perfect for both solo dining and group gatherings! **Dishes**: 🍝 Gnocchi Alla Bava The gnocchi here feels more like sticky rice, lacking the chewiness and resilience I usually prefer. It melts in your mouth (I personally like gnocchi with a mochi-like texture, so this one wasn't my favorite). The seasoning is a mix of cheese, cream, and mushrooms. The cream sauce is very meaty and creamy without being greasy! The mushrooms are super juicy! Overall, the seasoning is spot on! 🍞 Nduja Italian toast with slices of salami! The bread is toasted, giving it a strong wheat flavor that's really satisfying to chew. The combination of salami slices and the seasoning sauce has a bit of a Western-style chili sauce taste—sour and spicy, which I absolutely love! 🍦 Stracciatella Gelato I've tried the gelato here separately, and it's usually a safe bet. This time, the Stracciatella was surprisingly delicious! It's a milk ice cream ball coated with a dark chocolate shell. The milk has a Hokkaido white lover's ice cream feel, with an incredibly rich dairy flavor! The dark chocolate shell is flavorful, crispy, and not bitter at all! Highly recommended! 👀 If you can get a window seat, go for it! Enjoying the road view, sunbathing, and eating gelato sounds perfect! The restaurant also has a bar area with TVs, great for sports fans. 🎉 Their coffee and gelato are both worth trying! Besides Stracciatella, you can also try the pistachio and Nocciola gelato! For coffee, I had a latte that wasn't too milky. #Philadelphia #PhiladelphiaRestaurants #PhiladelphiaDate #PhiladelphiaDining #UPenn
