🍴 Lacroix Restaurant at The Rittenhouse 📍 210 W Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103 💰 ~$80–100 per person Google Maps rating: 4.6 — about 4.5 of that probably goes to the ambiance… The restaurant is on the second floor of The Rittenhouse Hotel. First, a small rant: the hotel security downstairs… Since Google Maps doesn’t specify it’s inside the hotel, I asked where the restaurant was. Unfortunately, I pronounced the “x” in Lacroix, and the guard sneered, “It’s LaCro, not LaCroix.” Not the warmest welcome 😒. The servers inside were lovely, though — friendly and happy to explain the dishes. We weren’t super hungry, so we ordered à la carte. 🥗 Watermelon appetizer – Odd but refreshing. 🧀 Cheese plate – Just okay. 🥩 Beef & fish entrees – Small portions, huge plates… taste-wise, not much different from a typical American restaurant. That said, many online reviews praise their tasting menu — maybe we chose the wrong approach.
