๐บ๐ธ Phillyโs Current No.1 Northeastern Chinese Restaurant! ๐ฅ
That would be DimSum King at King of Prussia! ๐ The English name says it all โ a place aiming to be the king of dim sum. Iโd been once before and tried their noodles โ this time, I came for their stir-fried dishes! ๐ Big Plate Chicken A crowd favorite โ and for good reason! Tender chicken, hearty potatoes, and wide noodles soaking up the rich sauce. Not too spicy, which my partner loved ๐ The portion is huge โ easily lasts for two meals. Classic Northeastern generosity! ๐ถ๏ธ Pickled Pepper Pork Gullet Tasty and well-cooked, though as a half-Chongqing native, Iโd say itโs not quite Sichuan-style. Slightly sweet โ maybe they just made a batch of Guo Bao Rou in the same wok? ๐ Flavor-wise, it still hit the spot, though the texture was a bit chewy. ๐ฅฃ Savory Tofua Pudding Just like last time โ a simple, soothing starter. Perfect while waiting for your dishes. โ ๏ธ Beef Crispy Pocket Unfortunately, not crispy this time ๐ The filling was sparse too. Maybe because the restaurant was packed โ even the owner was helping serve! Last time, during a quiet afternoon, this dish was amazing. Consistency seems to be a challenge during busy hours. ๐ Free Hangzhou Soup Dumplings Spend over $30 and you get these! The server warned: the skin is thick (likely a Northern style), but it reminded me of my childhood. My Jiangnan-raised partner still prefers thinner skins though. โ Final Thoughts: Mixed experience โ some highs, one clear low โ but still the best Northeastern Chinese food Iโve had in Philly so far! #PhillyEats #PhillyFood #NortheasternChinese #DongBeiCuisine #BigPortions #DimSumKing #KOP #PhillyLife #PhillyFoodDiary
