🇺🇸 Philly's Great Food: 💃 Friday Saturday Sunday

Amazing — yet another fantastic meal in Philly! This place is widely considered one of the city's top contenders for a Michelin star 🌟 and is always booked solid. But the good news: you can still walk in for the tasting menu at the bar — no fuss, no pretense. Love that vibe! You can also pop in anytime just for drinks — their bartenders are seriously skilled. 🍸 This time, we went on a Sunday night around 9 PM with no dinner plans. Decided to try walking in, waited almost an hour, and finally scored two bar seats. The catch: you have to stand while waiting — no seating area. Kinda tough, but you can order drinks while waiting, which is oddly thoughtful. 😅 I skipped the tasting menu this time — wasn’t super hungry, plus the bar was packed and loud… not the mood for a long meal. Highlights: 🍗 Chicken Liver Mousse – Unbelievably good!!! Smooth like chocolate mousse, served with buttery toasted brioche. I couldn’t stop eating it! 🥩 Beef Tartare – Less impressive. Seasoned in a Japanese-inspired style with crispy onions, served with sourdough… my feelings were neutral. 🦑 Squid Dish – Also delicious! Not as mind-blowing as the liver mousse, but better than the tartare. The pasta and steak were solid too! And the bartender was awesome — even with a full bar, they made time to chat with us. Next time, I definitely want to come back and properly try the tasting menu! 😋 Good food = happy life! #Philly #PhillyFoodie #PhillyRestaurants #PhillyEats #StudentFoodReview #PhillyLife
