🇺🇸 Philly friends, don’t miss this Japanese spot! 🍣

This place was recommended by a friend and sat in my bookmarks forever—finally checked it off, and it lived up to the hype! Probably one of the best Japanese meals I’ve had in the Philly area. Fish is fresh, small dishes taste authentic (and the portions are real, lol). 🌟 Chirashi – Almost every table orders it. No omakase on the menu, but the chirashi features seasonal fish—think of it as "budget omakase" 😄. Fresh fish, perfectly seasoned sushi rice. 🌟 Unagi Don (Eel Rice Bowl) – Classic and tasty, but on the lighter side flavor-wise (noticed nearby tables asking for extra soy sauce). Eel was a bit fatty—could feel rich if eating solo. 🌟 Tempura & Yakitori – Both delicious, but pricing felt steep for appetizers. Did not expect two chicken & scallion skewers for $12… The space has low ceilings and cozy izakaya vibes, though it can get noisy if neighbors are loud. Sushi bar is great for solo dining. Limited parking nearby—be ready to walk a bit. Service: Many (maybe all) servers are Japanese—mostly friendly and attentive, though the host/manager came off a bit distant, not super welcoming. 🍴 Sagami Japanese Restaurant 📍 37 Crescent Blvd, Collingswood, NJ 08108 💰 ~$50 per person | BYOB allowed #JapaneseCuisine #SushiLove #HiddenGem #Philly #NewJersey #PhillyEats #IzakayaVibes
