🇺🇸 Sacramento’s Hidden Gem: Ella Dining & Bar 🍽️✨
While visiting Sacramento, I checked the Michelin Guide and found two one-star restaurants — both fully booked 😢. So I tried Ella, a Michelin-listed restaurant near the State Capitol, just a 2-minute walk from Hyatt Regency. We went for lunch — the menu is simple, but the food was a huge surprise! 🦪 Oysters Three different varieties, each incredibly fresh and sweet. 🍒 Duck Liver Mousse Silky smooth, served with crispy bread and two candied cherries — no weird aftertaste, just pure deliciousness. 🥩 Beef Tartare Fresh and well-seasoned, paired with uniquely light and airy bread. 🥔 Potato Soup Rich and aromatic with a tangy kick (probably sour cream), topped with leeks and bacon. Only downside — wished the portion was bigger! 🍗 Fried Chicken Crispy with fried garlic, rosemary, thyme, and what tasted like tea leaves?! The breast was even juicier and more flavorful than the thigh — perfectly cooked with no greasy skin. Ella’s dishes are balanced, refined, and surprisingly Asian-friendly. Not overly salty or sweet like many Western restaurants. Honestly, it’s better than some starred spots — not sure why it’s not in the Bib Gourmand list! If you’re in Sacramento, give Ella a try. You might be as pleasantly surprised as I was! 💫 #MichelinEats #SacramentoFoodie #EllaSacramento #FoodReview #HiddenGems #CaliforniaDining #USFoodGuide #MichelinGuide 🥂🍴
