πΊπΈ Sacramento 2-Day Trip | Weekend Getaway from the Bay Area
Day 1 Arrived around noon after a 2-hour drive from the Bay β first stop: food! π Went to Top Choice Guilin Noodles β tried the classic Guilin rice noodles β delicious and authentic! π€οΈ California State Railroad Museum Didnβt expect a βtrain exhibitβ to be this fun! The museum is huge, with many train cars you can actually board. We joined a volunteer-led tour β way more engaging than exploring alone! π𧳠We also wanted to check out the vintage printing press demo + DIY letterpress experience at the Sacramento History Museum (just a 5-min walk), but the volunteer only does demos on Tuesdays and Thursdays π’. Still bought some letterpress postcards β and the clerk gave me a free one since I followed them on Instagram! π¬β¨ π Old Sacramento Stepped right into the 19th century with cobblestone streets, wooden buildings, and even horse carriages! ππͺ Lots of cute shops selling souvenirs and candy π β super photogenic! Also stopped by Scorpio Coffee for a caffeine boost βοΈ. π NBA Game at Golden 1 Center The atmosphere was electric! β‘οΈ Even if youβre not a basketball fan, the energy from the crowd and live performances outside the arena will get you pumped. Totally worth it! πΆπ Day 2 ποΈ California State Capitol The classic white-domed building is open to the public β feels like a mini Capitol Hill inside! ποΈβ¨ Formal and impressive. π Lunch at The Flame Cafe (Hong Kong-style diner) Ordered Three Cup Chicken and a cute bear-shaped milk tea π§π» β both great! Seafood pasta tasted a bit like pre-made food thoughβ¦ not the best. βοΈ Temple Coffee Roasters Stopped by this industrial-chic cafΓ© for a break. Their beans are aromatic β perfect for recharging! ππΈ #SacramentoKings #SacramentoEats #WeekendInSac #BayAreaWeekends #CaliforniaTravel
