๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Sacramento Food | The Citizen Hotel โ€“ Next-Level Cocktails & Vibe

We first discovered The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection during our initial trip to Sacramento. Located at 926 J St, this hotel boasts a retro-artistic design with bold, high-contrast colors that make it instantly memorable. Though room rates have since climbed (and downtown noise can be a downside), we still make a point to visit their restaurant every time weโ€™re in town โ€” itโ€™s just that good! Note: This is totally subjective, but Iโ€™m personally a huge fan of their fusion cuisine. A bit on the salty side sometimes, but it doesnโ€™t take away from the overall deliciousness. This time we tried their cocktails: ๐Ÿน Fruit for Thought (the shorter one) โ€“ Rich, complex, and not too sweet. Loved it! ๐Ÿธ The taller ginger-based drink โ€“ A bit too heavy on the gingerโ€ฆ tasted like flu medicine with a twist of orange ๐Ÿ˜‚ Still kinda healthy though? They had a special Thanksgiving menu (3-course), but with kids, waiting between courses just doesnโ€™t work. We opted for the bar menu โ€” cheaper and faster! ๐Ÿฅฌ Only skip the brussels sprouts โ€” bitter and oversauced with spicy glaze. ๐Ÿ” But the burger is a must-order!! Itโ€™s all about the seasoning โ€” hard to describe, just trust me. The restaurant itself is photogenic industrial-chic ๐Ÿ“ธ. At night, itโ€™s worth walking around downtown Sacramento โ€” the lights, the vibe, the little shopsโ€ฆ a perfect way to end the day. ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ Kid-friendly? Yes โ€“ especially if you stick to the bar area and casual bites. #WeekendIdeas #BayAreaKids #SacramentoEats #FamilyTravel #USHotels #HistoricHotels #CocktailLovers #Foodiefamily ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒƒ๐ŸŽจ
