🇺🇸 Salt Lake City|The City of Polygamy

Salt Lake City is the capital and largest city of Utah, USA. When people think of SLC, the first thing that comes to mind is the Mormon Church — known for advocating polygamy, with its global headquarters located right here. 📍 World’s First KFC The Colonel started his empire here, not in Kentucky! 3890 S State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84115 — enjoy some fried chicken while learning about his humble beginnings. 📍 Cathedral of the Madeleine A stunning cathedral — we visited on a Saturday and saw many girls celebrating their quinceañera or sweet sixteen. 📍 Temple Square The heart of the Mormon Church, though the temple is under renovation (expected to reopen late 2024 or 2025). Check their website for updates. 📍 Utah State Capitol Went on a Saturday — filled with photo shoots: quinceañeras, weddings, family portraits, and tourists. Beautiful and lively government building. 📍 City Creek Center A large mall — nice but nothing extraordinary. Not a must-visit. 📍 Delta Center Home of the Utah Jazz — basketball fans can check it out. Statues of legends outside. 📍 Ensign Peak Trailhead Short hike with a panoramic view of SLC — perfect for sunrise or sunset. 📍 Stansbury Bay Come here for the “sky mirror” effect. Coordinates: 40°44'06.9"N 112°31'38.8"W — great for photos. Drones recommended — from above, you can see pink and blue tones in the water. 📍 Bonneville Salt Flats International Raceway Famous salt flats — the mirror effect only happens Nov–May. June–Oct it's just white salt (still beautiful — you can drive on it!). Late May = no mirror, even after rain, but vast and surreal. ~1 hr 40 min from SLC — scenic drive. 📍 Natural History Museum of Utah If you’re really bored — they have dinosaurs. #Travel #SaltLakeCity #Utah #USTravel #Mormon #Polygamy #WestCoastTravel #USRoadTrip
