🇺🇸 Salt Lake City Food Diary | Chinese Cuisine at Zhu Ting Ji 🥢

Passing through Salt Lake City, I visited this Chinese restaurant with friends. The ambiance was quite nice. There were four of us, and we ordered: • Hand-Torn Cabbage 🥬 • Shredded Pork in Beijing Sauce 🥓 • Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) 🥟 • Beef with Bamboo Shoots 🍖 • Mouthwatering Chicken (Saliva Chicken) 🌶️ • Spicy Diced Chicken 🔥 • Dongpo Pork (Braised Pork Belly) 🐷 I’ve ranked these in order of my personal preference. The Hand-Torn Cabbage came first and was delicious! The Shredded Pork in Beijing Sauce was just okay—started to feel a bit off. Xiao Long Bao and Spicy Diced Chicken were decent but nothing extraordinary. The Beef with Bamboo Shoots was supposed to be stewed brisket, but the beef was tough and not tender enough. The Mouthwatering Chicken lacked flavor—no distinct chicken taste, and the chili oil wasn’t fragrant. It was just dry chicken sitting in bland oil. The Dongpo Pork was really disappointing—no aroma, the flavor was off, and even the color didn’t look right. It might fool foreigners, but it didn’t satisfy me. That said, I think it’s still one of the better Chinese food options in Salt Lake City. The prices are very affordable, and portions are generous. Overall, it’s worth a visit—good environment, friendly service, and fast food delivery ^_^ But avoid the Mouthwatering Chicken and Dongpo Pork! 📍 Zhu Ting Ji 5486 S 1900 W, Taylorsville, UT 84129 #BayAreaLife #SaltLakeCityEats #ChineseFoodSLC #SaltLakeCityTravel #FoodReview #WhatToEatInSLC #SLCGuide #FoodAndTravel #SaltLakeCityDining #UtahEats #FoodieAdventure #TrySomethingNew
