πΊπΈ Salt Lake City Gem β Autumn-Only Red Leaves
Location: Fifth Water Hot Springs Iβve chased fall colors around Salt Lake City a few times, but my absolute favorite is this hot spring hike. Only in autumn does the spring water turn that dreamy milky blue, while the leaves blaze in fiery shades π. The water is perfectly warm, and some pools even feel like a natural jacuzzi! With colorful foliage framing the springs, the scenery is simply magical. The trail itself is carpeted in fallen leaves β easy to walk and full of charm. Best of all, itβs dog-friendly π β so Yumi got to join us for a cozy soak too! π Tips for Your Visit: π Go on a weekday β weekends get packed like dumplings in a pot π₯, with no parking left. We arrived at the summer parking lot at 9:30 AM on Wednesday and snagged the last spot! π Peak foliage: late September β late October π π We also came in March β snowy and serene βοΈ, but the water wasnβt milky blue. (Check my Utah highlights for our winter trip guide!) π Multiple pools β even when busy, you can find space. Each pool varies in temperature, but all are wonderfully warm. π ΏοΈ Parking: Free with a National Parks Annual Pass, or $10 without. πΈ Our U.S. travel guides are saved in my highlights β visit my profile for the full series! π Follow along as we explore hidden beautiful places and document life on the road with our little family β two humans and one shiba! #FifthWaterHotSprings #SaltLakeCity #HotSpringHiking #UTfall #AutumnVibes #DogFriendlyHikes
