πΊπΈ Second Trip to Jacksonville | Outdoor Adventure Edition π³π
Went back to Jacksonville from Gainesville this weekend! Last time was all indoor fun β this time we explored the great outdoors ποΈ. Original plan: Visit Little Talbot Island State Park and Huguenot Memorial Park. But both were FULL by noon π«π₯ (pro tip: go early!). What we did instead: We headed to Fort George Island Cultural State Park ποΈ. It was quiet and not crowded. The highlight was Kingsley Plantation β small but interesting β³οΈ. β οΈ Warning: The unpaved Palmetto Ave road is ROUGH β full of potholes and puddles (especially after rain!). Our car turned gray-white by the end ππ¨. Hopefully they pave it someday! Finally got into Huguenot Memorial Park in the afternoon π: This park is at the mouth of the St. Johns River β with the river on one side and the Atlantic on the other π . Beautiful white sand beaches ποΈ, huge cargo ships passing by π’, and lots of families camping π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦. Highly recommend! Little Talbot β saved for next time π Dinner (again!) at Top Pot & K BBQ ππ₯: Went early β no wait this time! Finally tried their BBQ (grill + hotpot combo). Verdict: β BBQ was fire β Hotpot still amazing β Still obsessed with their sago dessert π§β€οΈ #Jacksonville #ExploreJAX #OutdoorAdventure #FloridaParks #HuguenotPark #RoadTrip
