πΊπΈ Solo Female Road Trip: UC Berkeley Stop ππ
β‘ Trip Vibe: Mixing work + travel β no fixed route, just going with the flow! π¬ Flew direct from Shanghai to SFO β picked up my Hertz rental at the airport ππ¨ Landed in the morning and jumped straight into work (thanks, trade war tensions π ). No time for fun at first β even worked until 2-3 AM every night. Jetlag + no sleep on the plane = zombie mode for days π΄π» π UC Berkeley Since it was close to my work site, I finally got to visit around 6 PM after wrapping up. π ΏοΈ Parking: Telegraph Channing Garage (right across Sather Gate) β $2/hr Day 1: Left nothing in the car π Day 2: Left luggage in trunk but carried all electronics (laptop, power bank, gimbal, headphones) β Berkeley can be sketchy! πβ οΈ π Parking SOP: Take ticket at entrance (DO NOT forget it! π€) Pay at machine before return (card/cash) TAKE THE TICKET BACK after payment β you need it to exit! (I made this mistake twiceβ¦ learned the hard way π) β° Key Timings: Student Store: Closes at 6 PM β (I missed it twiceβ¦) Doe Library: Closes at 7 PM for non-students π Sather Tower: $5, closes by 4 PM πΌ Yogurt Park (across street): $5.5 β yummy fro-yo! π¦ πΆββοΈ Campus Walk: Sather Gate β Sather Tower (heard the 6 PM carillon β magical! π) β Various libraries & historic buildings β Cherry blossoms in April! πΈ π« Doe Library: Worth the second trip! Felt like Hogwarts β grand, majestic, and full of wisdom π°β¨ π Memorial Glade: Students reading, playing volleyballβ¦ I felt young again π₯Ήπ π Sunset at The Lawrence Hall of Science Drove up to the parking lot β views of the Bay Bridge + San Francisco skyline + Golden Gate Bridge in the distance π𧑠(Also heard Grizzly Peak & Big C are great alternatives!) π Final Thoughts: Berkeley left me inspired β but thereβs so much more to explore. Definitely worth a deeper visit! #UCBerkeley #SoloTravel #BayArea #Workation #SunsetViews #CampusVibes #SanFrancisco
