๐บ๐ธ Study Abroad Life๏ฝOne Day in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
A super packed day trip โ drove 5 hours from Minneapolis! ๐๐จ โฐ 5:30 AM: Departed โฐ 10:30 AM: Arrived in Milwaukee ๐ Milwaukee Public Market A lively morning market with tons of unique food stalls โ full of local vibes! ๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ Milwaukee Art Museum Similar vibe to MIA in Minneapolis, but with a stunning lakeside location by Lake Michigan ๐๏ธ๐ ๐ Harley-Davidson Museum Highly recommend! Not too big, but packed with cool history and insanely stylish motorcycles ๐๏ธโจ ๐ Basilica of Saint Josaphat Not every church is called a Basilica โ this one is gorgeous and intricately designed โช๐ (Check open hours before going โ theyโre limited!) ๐ Giannis Mural Giant mural dedicated to the Bucks superstar ๐จ๐ ๐ Miller Brewery The Miller Beer headquarters ๐ป They offer brewery tours, and if youโre 21+, you can sample exclusive beers only available here! (My friend and I are under 21โฆ so we missed out ๐ญ) ๐ 1-hour drive to Madison ๐ Wisconsin State Capitol Impressive and grand building โ definitely worth a photo stop! ๐ธ๐๏ธ ๐ฝ๏ธ Ichiban Sichuan 610 S Park St, Madison, WI 53715 Average $30 per person This place puts any Chinese restaurant in Minnesota to shame ๐ฒโจ We ordered a bit of everything โ no disappointments! Highlights: Cumin Lamb (no gamey taste, perfectly spiced), sizzling frog with rice, and tender Fish with Pork Intestine. โ ๏ธ Service was just okay though โ not very friendly. A long but totally worth-it day exploring culture, food, and brews (almost!) ๐ป๐ #Milwaukee #Wisconsin #MinneapolisDayTrip #Minnesota #UMN #StudyAbroad #USCampusLife
