๐บ๐ธ The Ultimate 2-Day Milwaukee Travel Guide
A worry-free trip from start to finish โ highly recommend following this plan ๐ ๐ Most important info up front: No early wake-ups โ Not exhausting โ Total cost around $300-400 โ It may not be a mind-blowing itinerary, but itโs perfect for those who want a relaxing nearby getaway! ๐ Day 1 Summary ๐ Departed from UIUC at 9 AM, arrived in Milwaukee around noon. ๐ฅ Maderโs Restaurant Classic German cuisine ๐ฉ๐ช You MUST try the pork shank โ itโs amazing with sauerkraut! โ ๏ธ But avoid the soups and liver dumplingsโฆ theyโre pretty gamey ๐ ๐ Milwaukee Art Museum An iconic building โ great for photos even from the outside (free!). Tickets are $20๐ฐ for entry. Four floors with tons of exhibits โ we didnโt even finish them all! ๐ Lakeshore State Park Right next to the museum โ perfect for a walk around the peninsula. So beautiful and photogenic ๐ Feels like a mini-Alaska! Highly recommend catching the sunset here. ๐ฅ Bamboo Went here for Thai dinner โ there are many Thai spots on that street, so feel free to pick. We recommend the green curry and tom yum soup. Their pad thai? Not very authentic though ๐ซข ๐ Milwaukee County Zoo Went for the lantern festival ๐ฎ My friends and I were seriously impressed โ the animal lanterns look super real with great details! Very festive Christmas vibe๐ Ticket was $20๐ฐ ๐บ The Crooked Crow Since it was still early, we hit this bar afterward. The bartender was super friendly ๐ป, the vibe was lively but not too loud, and NO weed smell ๐ฏ Local beers were under $3 โ canโt beat that! ๐ Day 1 โ successfully fun and full of good memories! Part 2 (Day 2) coming soonโฆ #UIUC #UIUCFood #FoodReview #LiuliuqiuEats #100RestaurantsChallenge #FoodieUniverse
