🇺🇸 Travel Guide to Pittsburgh — The Steel City of the World 🏙️

Pittsburgh, a city that has been repeatedly named “America’s Safest City” and “America’s Most Livable City,” is located in Pennsylvania. This historic industrial old town is full of charm and character. Though we often joke that Pittsburgh is more like “Pitt Village,” there’s actually plenty to see and do here! Today, we’re bringing you a detailed guide to the city. 😉 1⃣ University of Pittsburgh (1)⭐️ Cathedral of Learning (Cathy): The iconic building of Pitt. The first floor features a lobby that looks like it’s straight out of Hogwarts from Harry Potter! There are also rooms decorated in styles from around the world. Admission is $10 per person (reservations may be required). Take the elevator to the 35th floor for a panoramic view of the university district. 🏛️ (2) Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum: Currently, only the first floor is open, displaying exhibits from several major wars in U.S. history. General admission is $15, and student discounts are available with ID. 🎖️ 2⃣ Carnegie Mellon University Stroll around the campus—you might even spot some wild rabbits! 🐇 (1)⭐️ Carnegie Museum of Natural History & Art: Highly recommended! This museum is huge with a diverse range of exhibits. You can easily spend an entire afternoon here. 🦖 (2) Schenley Park: A large park that often hosts events. When we visited, there was a car race and auto show, but it’s if these events will be held regularly. 🏞️ 3⃣ Squirrel Hill This area is known for its diverse restaurants and Asian supermarkets (like Panda Super, though prices are higher than in China). Check Yelp or Google Maps for dining recommendations. 🍜🛒 4⃣ Downtown Perfect for exploring on foot, with plenty of landmarks to see. 🏙️ (1) Allegheny County Courthouse & Jail: A iconic landmark still in use today, but open to visitors. ⚖️ (2) Duquesne Incline: Take a historic cable car up the incline! $2.50 for a one-way ticket (3-minute ride). Enjoy a stunning view of downtown from the top. 🚞 (3) Riverboat Cruise: Near the Duquesne Incline, there’s a dock offering sightseeing cruises. $30 for adults for a 1-hour tour. The 8 PM cruise is highly recommended—beautiful city lights and no scorching sun! 🚢🌃 (4) Movie Theaters & Malls: Plenty of shopping and dining options around. 🎬🛍️ 5⃣ Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens A beautifully designed greenhouse garden. Note: No air conditioning, so it can get warm inside. Student tickets are $20. 🌸🌿 #RomanticLife #Travel #WeekendGetaway ✨😊
