🇺🇸 Visiting Austin’s HUGE Portion Chinese Restaurant!
Before coming to the US, I’d heard about American restaurant portions, but this was my first time experiencing SOOOO HUGE servings! 😱 📍 Bamboo House 7010 Easy Wind Dr Suite 100, Austin, TX 78752 🍽️ Four of us girls ordered four dishes: three meat dishes (½ Roast Duck, Scallion Beef, Twice-Cooked Pork) and one veggie dish (Mixed Vegetables). We couldn’t finish it—almost enough for two meals! So order carefully—the staff won’t warn you if you overorder 😭 Flavor-wise, though, it was impressive! Authentic Chinese taste: the beef and pork were savory and perfect with rice. The roast duck wasn’t quite Beijing-level, but the skin was crispy and the meat tender—still worth trying! It also came with duck soup. 🦆 After eating overly salty American BBQ lately, this felt like a dream 😢👌 Perfectly seasoned—not too salty nor too bland. Chinese stomachs rejoice! 🥹 Part of the menu clearly caters to American locals (e.g., General Tso’s Chicken, Sichuan Chicken). I didn’t dare try those—stick to the dishes you recognize! 💰 We were stuffed—$95 total (before tip). Actually, three dishes would’ve been enough. So per person, it’s around $10+ to be full—great value! 💯 #Austin #USFood #AustinEats #AustinLife 🎉
