๐บ๐ธ Weekend Getaway from the Bay Area โ Sacramento ๐
A quick escape with my hubby to explore food, coffee & adventure around Sac! ๐ฝ๏ธ Two Michelin-Recommended Restaurants Canon Chicken drumstick: rich but balanced flavor with a magical chili-garlic-yogurt sauce Crispy pork belly: skin wasnโt very crispy (a bit oily), but the plum pairing was refreshing Favorite starter: Hamachi collar โ tender, buttery, perfectly seasoned Summer pepper dish: smoky, layered with baba ganoush and sweet-sour date & fig vinegar Steak 62: 22oz beast! Loved the blue cheese and secret sauce Cocktails were refreshing โ try the Juicy Velour & Sassenach High ceilings, open kitchen, and flavors beat 99% of Bay Area spots in this price range. Weโll drive 2 hours to come back! Kin Thai Affordable and comforting. Loved the satay and boat noodle soup โ spiced just right. The rare steak was one of the most tender Iโve had. The fermented ribs were a bit too sour for me though. โ๏ธ Coffee Stopovers The Well (Stockton): Bright space. Chicken pesto sando ๐ Temple Coffee Roasters: House blend leaned acidic. Pastries looked tempting Chloรฉ Cร Phรช + Roastery: Porsche-themed Vietnamese cafรฉ! Tried the Pho-Spiced Americano โ definitely lived up to its name ๐ ๐ Whitewater Rafting 1 hour from Sac. Booked via Groupon ($92/person). Took the classic โGorgeโ route โ calm parts for swimming, rapids for thrills! Perfect summer activity. Just follow the guide โ easy yet super fun! ๐๏ธ All Star Karting Hubby finally checked out karting! Track was fun, but no timesheet?
