๐บ๐ธ Weekend Getaway in Sacramento, CA ๐๏ธ๐
I didnโt know Sacramento was Californiaโs capital until I moved here! Just a 2-hour drive away โ perfect for a day trip โ . We started with dim sum at Yue Huang. Arrived at 11 AM on a weekend โ no wait, but it was packed when we left. Honestly, it was just okay ๐ : Roast pork belly: skin wasnโt crispy, meat was too tough ๐ Shrimp-stuffed peppers: not spicy at all โ lost its soul ๐ถ๏ธ Tofu skin rolls: not very fresh Har gow: decent, at least the wrapper didnโt break (my bar is low lol) Might try another spot next time! ๐ Old Sacramento Waterfront A Wild West-style waterfront with a full railroad running through! The steam train just reopened in August after 6 years ๐ โ runs 5-6 times daily. We hopped on for a 45-minute ride. Fun, but no ACโฆ so hot! ๐ฅต Nearby is the California State Railroad Museum (closes at 5 PM โ we missed it!). ๐ฐ California State Capitol Museum Closed on weekends ๐ (classic P-person travel surprise!). But next to it is a gorgeous rose garden with roses of all colors ๐นโค๏ธ๐ธ โ totally worth the stop! #Sacramento #CaliforniaTravel #DayTrip #OldSacramento #SteamTrain #CaliforniaCapital
