🇺🇸 West USA Trip? Los Angeles? Don’t Do It the Old Way!
Third Stop: Anaheim → Long Beach We landed in LA, so we decided to spend a few days exploring. After reading travel tips and getting advice from friends, we learned that downtown LA isn’t very safe, and hotels are crazy expensive 🥴. ❗️Without hesitation, we boldly booked our stay in Anaheim—26 miles from downtown. We chose a hotel near Buena Park, just 5.8 miles from Disneyland 🏰—super convenient for theme park lovers! Plus, it was located in Koreatown, so we enjoyed authentic Korean food daily (and low-key hoped to spot a K-star 👀❤️). 📍 Must-try Korean restaurants: Jinsol Gukbap (Buena Park): Their pork soup with rice is EVERYTHING! 🐖🍚 Hanyang: Beef short rib soup that’s so good we went twice! 🐂✨ After breakfast on a mild August morning, we headed to the coast. We visited Point Fermin Lighthouse 🏝️ and the Korean Friendship Bell 🔔—so peaceful with locals jogging and walking their dogs. It felt like a hidden paradise 🥹. Then we passed by LA Waterfront ⚓—the rows of yachts were seriously impressive! We made a quick stop at the Queen Mary ocean liner 🚢📸—took some photos and left within 14 minutes (efficient mode ON 😆). Next, we hit Long Beach 🏖️. Compared to Santa Monica, it’s less commercialized and way easier to park (free street parking—yes! 🤩). Highly recommend! In the afternoon, we explored Anaheim Packing District 🍜🌮—a trendy food hall with tons of options: Chinese, Japanese, Western, you name it! It’s a bit pricier than expected (like restaurant pricing but no tip needed 😅). ✅ Conclusion: This trip was full of nice surprises! Less city chaos + more local charm = the perfect way to experience Southern California ❤️. #WestUSRoadTrip #BudgetTravel #USATravel #LongBeach #Anaheim #LosAngeles #LATravel #TravelUS
