🇺🇸 What Else to Do in Moab Besides National Parks? 🏜️✨

Many people visit Moab specifically to explore Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point State Park. While these are undoubtedly stunning, Moab holds the top spot in my heart as Utah’s ultimate outdoor adventure town—with so much more to discover! 🌄🚙 Beyond the famous Jeep tours over rocky slopes, driving north along Highway 128 offers close-up views of the Colorado River, which flows nearly level with the road. 🛣️💙 Along the way, you’ll find numerous campgrounds where you can launch a kayak or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere. On breezy evenings this season, it’s also a perfect spot for stargazing. 🌌🛶 Several off-road trails branch off from Highway 128, leading into landscapes where red earth meets green hills—a hidden visual treat! One highly recommended short off-road drive leads to Fisher Towers. It’s incredibly peaceful and ideal for sunset watching. 🌅📸 As a Class 2 Dark Sky area, it’s also phenomenal for Milky Way photography with the towers as your foreground. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how magical this spot was during my last visit and went during a nearly full moon. 😅 Two other off-road routes worth exploring nearby are Top of the World and Onion Creek. There’s also an epic overlook called Dome Plateau Overlook on the opposite high ground, offering panoramic views of the entire river valley—absolutely worth the detour! I can’t wait to explore these on my next trip. 🗺️❤️ Another easy but fascinating trail near Moab is the Corona Arch Trail. 🥾🧭 You even cross an active freight railroad—I wonder if anyone has been lucky enough to catch a train passing by? 🚂✨ Still exploring… 🌟 #Nikon #NikonPhotography #Utah #NatureExploration #OffTheBeatenPath #Moab #UtahAdventures #HiddenGems #ArchesNationalPark #CanyonlandsNationalPark #OutdoorLife #ScenicDrives #DarkSky #TravelGoals #Wanderlust
