🇺🇸 Yellowstone National Park 2-Day Express Guide

(Self-Drive Tour – Enter from West Yellowstone) Since our friend lives in Salt Lake City and knows Yellowstone well, they took us on a self-drive tour from Salt Lake City! 🚗💨 Here’s our itinerary to share with everyone~ Accommodation 🏨 Airbnb: 2-Bedroom Twin Room (Hotel-style Apartment) Location: Near the West Yellowstone Entrance The room was spacious and fully equipped—2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, plus a kitchen and living room! PS: If you can book a hotel inside Yellowstone in advance, that would be even better! 👍 1️⃣ Day One: • Depart from Salt Lake City in the morning → Check in at the Airbnb • Enter through the West Yellowstone entrance in the afternoon → Follow the route: 📍 Norris → Canyon Village (P5) → Tower Fall (P6) → Mammoth Hot Springs ⚠️ The road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris is a great spot to see wild bears! 🐻 Keep your eyes open while driving (our friend has visited three times and always seen bears up close here!). 2️⃣ Day Two: • Breakfast → Enter through the West Yellowstone entrance (use the far-right prepaid lane with an annual pass to save time waiting in line) → Follow the route: Breakfast: Highly recommend Running Bear Pancake House – so delicious! 🥞🍯 Must-Visit Attractions: 📍 The Grand Prismatic Spring Navigate to Fairy Falls Parking Lot and follow the trail—about a 20-minute walk to the overlook platform. 📍 Old Faithful Check the predicted eruption time at the visitor center first—usually accurate within about 10 minutes! ⏳🌋 Other attractions can be planned based on your schedule (if you have time, don’t miss Morning Glory Pool!). ❗️Tips: 1. When in Salt Lake City, stop by an Asian supermarket to stock up on snacks and drinks for the road. 🛒🍜 2. If staying outside Yellowstone and planning to visit for more than 2 days, consider buying an Annual Pass ($80) at the entrance—it’s more cost-effective, offers unlimited entry for a year, and includes access to other national forests! 🎟️ 3. The ticket office provides a detailed map and attraction guide—very helpful! 🗺️ 4. Drones are not allowed—consider bringing a telephoto lens or binoculars instead. 📷🔭 5. There’s no signal in Yellowstone—download Google Maps offline in advance. For mobile service, Verizon is recommended (it has some coverage in certain areas). 📵 6. If you see unexpected traffic jams, it’s likely due to animals—slow down and keep an eye out! 🐃🦌 7. The lower half of the park is best visited on sunny days around noon for better lighting and photos! ☀️📸 8. After seeing Old Faithful, grab ice cream at the opposite ice cream cafe—one scoop is enough for two people! 🍦😋 #YellowstoneNationalPark #YellowstoneGuide #YellowstoneAccommodation #YellowstoneSelfDrive #USA #USARoadTrip #NationalParks #TravelTips #AdventureAwaits #ExploreAmerica #WildlifeWatching #NatureLovers
