ey fam! I've been lazy for a whole month but finally made it to South Africa's Johannesburg - my new solo travel milestone! PSA: 🇿🇦 is NOT the safest (crime rates are wild 😱), but with precautions, it's SO worth it! 📍 Ukutula Lodge & Game Reserve 💰 Pricing: 👩🏻 R2800 (solo) 👩🏻👩🏻 R1600 pp (2 pax) 👨👩👧👦 R1290 pp (6+ group) We paid R1780 pp including tip for 2 people. 🦒 HIGHLIGHTS: • Our AMAZING white South African guide 🧔🏻♂️ brought us jackets (it gets chilly!) and secured us FRONT ROW seats! • Meet ZOEY the picky giraffe 🦒 - she ONLY eats original Lay's chips! ❌ Other flavors? SPITS THEM OUT! 😂 • 2-hour game drive (mostly in vehicle) with a 30-min stop to see leopards 🐆 • Most animals were LAZY like me 😴 - only moved for fresh meat or guide's calls! ⏰ Itinerary: 7:30AM 🚗 Hotel pickup 1:00PM 🏨 Return (1hr each way + 2hr safari) 💭 Final Thoughts: Perfect for us "middle-aged" travelers 😉 Low-key but magical!
