💖🙏🏽 The Ritz Restaurant Christmas Extravaganza

Having dined at numerous establishments across the UK, I can confidently say that The Ritz Restaurant isn't just one of the best – it genuinely stands as THE pinnacle of British fine dining! 🏆✨ Especially when compared to some of London's disappointing three-star and two-star venues, The Ritz shines even brighter. It's almost unbelievable that this magnificent establishment holds only one Michelin star – a rating that says more about the inspectors' potential snobbery than the actual quality here. Let's be honest: if this restaurant were in Paris, having just returned from there myself, I'm certain it would proudly hold three stars! 🇫🇷⭐⭐⭐ The dining experience is nothing short of spectacular – featuring classic, old-world service where everything flows seamlessly, with elegant carts presenting all dishes. What's particularly remarkable is that they offer both à la carte and tasting menus, making them a rare gem in today's culinary landscape where most top restaurants only provide fixed tasting menus. 🍽️🎠 We visited on the Sunday before Christmas, and despite The Ritz undergoing significant renovations, the main public areas remained perfectly intact and were decorated with breathtaking festive grandeur. 🎄✨ From the moment we were seated at our table, the service was both swift and exceptionally professional, yet wonderfully friendly with plenty of warm, genuine conversation that made us feel truly special. 🤵♂️💫 Our three-course journey from the à la carte menu included: 🦀 Starter: Dorset crab with cream, imperial caviar, and scallops 🐟 Main: Cornwall turbot "Ton Sur Ton" and Suffolk lamb with goat curd and mint 🍫 Dessert: The legendary Ritz chocolate soufflé with vanilla Chantilly cream, and seasonal citrus with vanilla custard The experience began with an array of exquisite amuse-bouches and delicious bread selections. My Dorset crab was absolutely delicate and flavor-packed, accompanied by a delightful brown crab crouton. My wife's scallops were particularly stunning, especially with the trout caviar. 🥂 The mains maintained this extraordinary standard – my lamb arrived perfectly pink and succulent, served with a charming small jug for pouring delicious gravy continuously. My wife's Cornwall turbot was simply mind-blowing, with two sauces (lobster bisque and beurre blanc) poured tableside that were absolutely incredible. I tasted it myself – undoubtedly the best seafood dish I've had in years! 🌊👑 #TheRitzLondon #MichelinStar #FineDining #ChristmasAtTheRitz #BestOfBritish #LuxuryDining
