๐Ÿ‰ Off-the-Beaten-Path Wonders in Bangkok

๐ŸŒŸ Magical Dragon Temple: Wat Samphran ๐Ÿฒ Wat Samphran, also known as the Dragon Temple, is located in Samut Prakan, about 60 kilometers west of Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 1985, this temple is a 17-story pink circular building with an architectural style brimming with Chinese elements. It's wrapped around by a massive red and green dragon, making it incredibly spectacular, hence the name "Dragon Temple." ๐ŸŒ The temple was built through crowdfunding by local devotees, so upon entering, you'll see many handprints, footprints, and names of those who have donated for merit. It's said that the temple has a strong connection with the Chinese community, which is why there are many beautiful elements to admire. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ Visitors can take an elevator to the 16th floor or climb up through the dragon's belly to reach the top for blessings. On the rooftop, there's a golden statue of the mother of Siddhartha Gautama and a sacred tree. There's also a Buddha statue that was invited from a cave. The proper way to pray is to walk around the temple clockwise, offer flowers, touch the dragon's whiskers, and make a wish. ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ“ธ Must-Visit Tips: ๐Ÿš— Transportation: You can drive or take a taxi, or take the subway and then switch to a grab. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Admission: The temple is free, but you can give a donation as you wish. #ThailandBucketList #ThailandAttractions #ThaiTemples #NakhonPathom
