👣 Edinburgh is a must-visit when you're in the UK. It has a totally different feel from London and overall has more cozy and comforting vibes. I'd really recommend a visit if you have the time. Here are some tips I thought would be helpful if you're planning to visit! 🏰 🚶‍♀️ You will be walking everywhere We didn't even need to take any form of public transport when we were there, which is why it's important to wear comfortable walking shoes and choose a central location for your accommodation! A lot of the attractions are clustered in the same area, so there will be tons of walking when you're in the city. 👟 🧙‍♂️ Skip the Harry Potter Walking Tour I was the most excited for this but it ended up quite underwhelming. I was expecting more behind-the-scenes and a more Harry Potter-focused tour, but it mostly ended up being a biography tour about J.K. Rowling. You'd probably be better off googling the relevant locations and exploring yourself. Victoria Street has a bunch of Harry Potter-inspired stores too - worth a visit if you're a Potterhead. 📚 🥘 Try Scottish food I'm not the most adventurous with food, but some of the Scottish food we had was pretty good! My favorite was haggis; we had it at Howies. I loved the taste of it - but I'd recommend eating it before googling what it actually is! 🍲 🧀 Go on a cheese tour I know this may seem random, but this is one of the best things we did in Edinburgh!! We booked our cheese tour here and had the most lovely and knowledgeable guide. I got to know some of my favorite types of cheese on this tour.
