2 Days, 1 Night in Truro, NS 🇨🇦 – A Perfect Getaway from Halifax

After a long winter hibernation, we finally kicked off spring with an Easter weekend escape to Truro! Though we've passed through this town countless times en route out of Nova Scotia, this was our first real chance to discover its charms – including its surprisingly urban vibe and (most excitingly) its abundant deer population 🦌! 🏕️ Seek Wilderness Accommodations This glamping hotspot (open ~2 years) sits right beside Victoria Park and is personally managed by the lovely owner Miriah, who: • Let us check in early when we arrived ahead of schedule • Dropped by at night for a friendly chat 🌟 We tested 3 cabin types: 1️⃣ Maple & Aspen (shipping container cabins) • Maple mimics a cottage with wood siding + bunk beds • Aspen has a modern industrial look 2️⃣ Hemlock (luxe 2-story container cabin) • Kitchen/dining upstairs, bedroom downstairs • Max 4 guests (no bunks) Amenities we loved: • BBQ grills 🍖 • Fire pits 🔥 • Private hot tubs under the stars ✨ • Quality toiletries (no need to pack your own!) ⏳ Easy-Breezy Itinerary Day 1 🐿️ 3-6 PM: Explore Victoria Park (waterfalls, trails, wildlife) – great for walking/biking (but skip rollerblades!) 🍷 6 PM+: Grill dinner, stargaze, and soak in the tub Day 2 🌲 9-10 AM: Morning hike on Seek’s smooth, bike-friendly trails 🦌 11 AM-2 PM: Downtown Truro café-hopping + deer spotting (they actually wait for traffic lights!) Why Truro? • Just 1 hr from Halifax – no long drives • Urban-nature balance – woodsy vibes with city conveniences • Unforgettable wildlife encounters #NovaScotiaTravel #GlampingLife #TruroAdventures#FamilyWeekend #EastCoastCanada #SeekWilderness
