2 Days in Cairns 🌊
Day 1: Magic Reef Snorkeling Trip 🚢🤿 Took the Reef Magic pontoon (boat round-trip). Even with motion sickness meds, we felt super queasy on the way out—fly-cruise option might be better! July water temp was fine—just a quick chill when jumping in. Must-bring: Sunscreen, towel, and your own snorkel mouthpiece (the shared ones looked… questionable 🥴). Whale spotting! 🐋 The boat paused for everyone to watch—amazing! Underwater pics? Phone + waterproof case = blurry mess 😅 (but the experience was worth it!). Day 2: Beach & Kid-Friendly Fun 👶☀️ Muddy’s Playground: Toddler LOVED it! Bring extra clothes & a towel—water play = soaked. Muddy’s Café: Parents chilled with coffee/snacks (decent prices). Avoided the lagoon pool—way too scorching! 🔥 Food Adventures 🍜 Asian flavors everywhere! Tried recommended Vietnamese pho (decent but not mind-blowing). Villa Romana (hyped on Red): Dinner: Gave up after seeing the crazy line. Lunch (reserved): Fresh ingredients but disgustingly salty—seafood drowned in ketchup sauce? Hard pass. Night Market: Full of cheap knockoff souvenirs 🎭. The "famous" mango smoothie? Just… average. 🥤 Verdict: Snorkeling = 💯, dining = meh. Focus on the reef! 🤿💙 #Snorkeling #GreatBarrierReef #CairnsTravel #FamilyTrip #TravelTips #WhaleWatching #AustraliaAdventures
