With only a three-day break over Labor Day due to work, I figured I shouldn’t waste it—time for a quick getaway! After a glance at flight options, the timing was perfect. So, off I went! 🛫 Food 🥘: Nepal, nestled in South Asia, shares a flavor profile similar to Indian cuisine—think lots of curry. Even the hotel breakfast featured momos (dumplings that look like buns 🥟) and stir-fried noodles. If your stomach isn’t too sensitive, don’t miss out on the local street snacks! Attractions 🛕: Kathmandu is packed with historical and cultural relics, especially the three major palace squares. Due to time constraints, I only visited one. The square was a maze of ancient palaces, their eaves and pillars adorned with intricate carvings of deities—a stunning display of religious and ethnic artistry, showcasing a beauty rarely seen in mainstream culture. Hotel 🏨: My hotel was brimming with local charm—its lobby was filled with stupas from different eras, each one unique.
