π 3-Day Art Escape: Asheville, North Carolina π
This trip was inspired by the annual "Re Happening" exhibition at Black Mountain College β I ended up spending about a week in the area, with three full days dedicated to exploring Asheville. Though the city leans toward an older demographic, itβs bursting with artistic charm and a strong handmade craft culture! πΌοΈ Must-Visit Spots: β¨ The Omni Grove Park Inn β iconic architecture, beautiful craft shops, and stunning mountain views. β¨ Black Mountain College Site β now a boys' camp, but the location is gorgeous. Their annual April event is a canβt-miss! β¨ Downtown Asheville β packed with galleries, craft stores, and creative energy. Donβt miss the glassblowing studios! The River Arts District is also full of inspiring spots. π½οΈ Food & Drinks: β¨ Double Dβs Coffee & Dessert β a fun bus-themed cafΓ© π β¨ Chai Pani β authentic and delicious Indian food! A tasty surprise π€€ β¨ 12 Bones Smokehouse β local favorite, but ribs were a bit tough. Prefer Bear's Smokehouse (with live music!) β¨ Red Ginger β Chinese dim sum spot. Try the mouthwatering chicken (sweet style), green beans, and hot & sour soup. π Top Restaurant Picks: β¨β¨ Plant β amazing vegan restaurant (see previous post!) π± β¨β¨ Curate β fantastic Spanish tapas bar (check my earlier review!) #NorthCarolina #NCArtTown #AshevilleEats #AshevilleNC #TravelUSA #ArtLovers #CraftCulture #BlackMountainCollege #FoodieAdventure
