3-Day Ouro Preto Adventure Guide
🏠 Accommodation: We stayed at Hotel Solar de Maria, a charming historic hotel. Don’t miss their breakfast featuring doce de leite (dulce de leche) and guava paste. Weekdays can be quiet here, as the town itself has a small population. 🌇 Sunset Viewpoints: 1️⃣ Morro São Sebastião Lookout 2️⃣ UFOP Mirante da UFOP The climb is challenging but absolutely worth it! Watching the sunset while playing the Call Me by Your Name soundtrack is pure magic. 🍽 Dining: Minas Gerais cuisine tends to be salty. We tried two restaurants: Restaurante e Scotch Bar Acaso 85: A unique underground rock-themed restaurant offering kg-style meals (pay-by-weight). Seu Jose: Nice ambiance, but food was average. ⛪️ Churches: Ouro Preto has 22 churches! We only paid to enter Basílica Nossa Senhora do Pilar — the most ornate one in town. 🤸♂️ Capoeira: This local art form blends dance and martial arts. It looks like two people "fighting" to music with graceful dodges and strikes — fascinating to watch! #Basílica Nossa Senhora do Pilar#Ouro preto#travel guide#Brazil#Brazil guide#BrazilTravel #HistoricTow
