3 Days, 2 Nights — One Girl Ate Her Way Through New Orleans ❤️
🦞 Crawfish: Big EZ Seafood 🆚 Cajun Seafood First night — rushed to Big EZ Seafood near the airport for crawfish! It’s Vietnamese-run Cajun, so the flavor is unique, with a hint of celery in the seasoning. Ordered the 3-pound solo combo — huge, tender crawfish, so good! 🦞✨ On day three, ordered delivery from Cajun Seafood (farther away) — so disappointing 😖. Way too salty, and the crawfish were tiny. Stick with Big EZ! 🦪 Oysters: Deanie’s 🆚 Luke Day two — oyster feast time! Both had large, fresh oysters, but Deanie’s cleaned them better. The vibe at Luke is more upscale though 🍾. Go to Luke during happy hour (3–6 PM) — oysters are $1.50 each, unbeatable value! 💥 🍩 Beignets: Café Beignet 🆚 Café Du Monde Many recommend Café Du Monde, but I only tried the airport location on my last day — their beignets were small, hard, and one piece was burnt 🥲. Café Beignet on Royal Street has a lovely little garden and fluffy, perfectly sweet beignets — miles better than regular donuts! 🌸🍩 🐱 Bearcat Arrived around 11 AM — already a long line! Solo perk: skipped the wait and snagged a seat at the bar 🍽️. Ordered Lobster Daddy (fried lobster + crawfish — creative but not cheap, almost $40). Tasty but got salty toward the end. Must-try: Matcha latte with coconut water 🥥🍵 — incredibly fragrant, not too sweet, so refreshing! 🍸 The Sazerac The Sazerac is said to be America’s first cocktail — and it was born in NOLA! This place is gorgeous inside and offers a free tour 🥃✨. Learn about its history and enjoy complimentary cocktail samples — such a cool experience! 🎠 Carousel Bar A local favorite — the bar has a rotating seating area like a carousel! 🎪 Live jazz starts at 9 PM — perfect for drinks and music 🎷🍹. 🍗 Willie’s Fried Chicken New Orleans may not have wings, but it’s got fried chicken! I tried the chicken tenders — lightly breaded and flavorful, but the meat was a bit dry 🍗😅. #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #SoloTravel #FoodieDiary #EatLikeALocal #TravelNOLA
