3 Days & 2 Nights in New Orleans – Attractions Guide πŸŽ‘πŸ›οΈ

Took advantage of summer break to explore some U.S. spots β€” first stop: New Orleans (a city you can cover in a weekend!). Thanks to a flight delay with Frontier ✈️😀, our three days got compressed into two β€” classic Frontier move. Day 1 Checked into Maison De La Luz 🏨✨. (Note: Doors were locked at night β€” felt a bit eerie at first πŸ˜…). The hotel vibe was straight out of a movie β€” retro and atmospheric! Staff were friendly, though we had a small hiccup with the deposit around midnight… one employee joked, β€œAfter midnight, the card machine acts up,” which added a spooky touch πŸ‘». Our room came with a handwritten welcome note + an apple 🍎 β€” sweet and thoughtful. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Day 2 Oak Alley Plantation & Swamp Tour 🌳🐊 Our boat captain was hilarious and engaging β€” stopped every time we spotted an alligator for photos πŸ“Έ. He evenly fed gators on both sides of the boat so everyone could see πŸŠπŸ‘€. Each gator even had a name! The highlight? He pulled a baby alligator from a cooler β€” so cute! Felt cool and smooth, like a snake πŸ₯Ή. Then to Oak Alley Plantation β€” it was so hot we kept it quick β˜€οΈπŸ”₯. The tour included a 30-min guided talk + photo time β€” about an hour total. Tried their minty drink β€” sweet but refreshing! In the evening, hit the French Quarter β€” felt like a night market back home, but with an intense, hard-to-blend-in vibe. Also… πŸƒ scent was strong in the air β€” not recommended for solo female travelers. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ Day 3 WWII Museum + Aquarium πŸ›οΈπŸ  Spent about 2 hours at the WWII Museum β€” started strong but lost steam (hungry + cold AC ❄️). Since we had time before Luke’s happy hour reservation, we popped into the aquarium. Best part: the sea otters! 🦦 So adorable β€” spinning nonstop, one even banging a shell against the glass πŸ₯Ή. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Verdict: You can cover the highlights in two full days β€” add an extra if you want to relax. But a heads-up: 10 minutes outside in this heat is no joke β€” sunscreen and hydration are a must! β˜€οΈπŸ’¦ Next up: Food edition πŸ€πŸŽ‚! #NewOrleans #WhatToDoInNOLA #NolaGatorTour #NoFriedChickenInSight #Travel πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŽ·βœ¨
