3 Days & 2 Nights Trip: Cleveland + Pittsburgh - Day 1 ✨
Took advantage of the July 4th holiday and drove to Cleveland, then Pittsburgh—two cities I hadn’t visited before. Since it wasn’t too far, I figured why not check them out? 🚗💨 9:30 AM - Departure The original plan was to explore downtown Cleveland on the first day, but almost everything was closed for the holiday. 😅 So, we headed south to Cuyahoga Valley National Park instead. This park is unique—not for dramatic landscapes, but for its mix of nature, residential areas, vacation homes, farmland, and even a farmers' market! 🌾🏡 No entrance fee, but bring cash since most vendors only accept it. For wildlife lovers, the Beaver Marsh Trail is a must. It’s a wetland/swamp area teeming with animals, though we might’ve gone at the wrong time and didn’t spot much. 🦫🐦 The visitor center (seems newly renovated) does a great job explaining the park’s conservation and development. Evening - Stay & Dinner We stayed overnight in Independence, about 20 minutes from Cleveland. For those traveling with pets, Suite2Home is a budget-friendly option! 🐕❤️ Just 10 minutes away, we stumbled upon an authentic Korean restaurant—Seoul Garden Restaurant—which was a pleasant surprise! 🇰🇷🍚 We ordered bibimbap, kimchi tofu soup, and cold noodles (less sweet/sour than the Northern Chinese style). The side dishes tasted homemade, and everything was delicious! 📍 Address: 5270 Pearl Rd, Parma, OH 44129 #PerfectGetaway #OhioTravel #StudyAbroadStories #ChillRoadTrip #SelfDriveAdventures 🌍🚙
